Clarice Bean

Clarice Bean:  Don't Look Now is the book that I am reading.  I like this book because the author who wrote it is so funny and creative.  She inspires me to write more and she gives me ideas.  I am hoping that one day I could write a book!!  Now I will tell you a little more about the book.  It really is a series of books that I got for my birthday from my Mom.  The book is about a girl named Clarice Bean and her life without her best friend.  Clarice Bean is from Great Britian.  Betty Moody, her friend, moved to San Francisco because her mom got a job there.  After summer is over, she has to go back to school planning on getting a new teacher.  But, instead she gets her old teacher that is cruel and mean, Ms. Wilberton.  A new kid named Clem Hansson seems to be nice to everybody in the beginning, but really isn't very nice after all.  I don't want to spoil it for you, so if you ever read the book you can find out yourself what happens.  Because I don't know what happens, but I'm close to the end of the book.  So, then I'm going to finally going to see what the conclusion of the book is.  I can't wait to finish the book!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so fun.  We were at my Bama and Abuelo's house in Oregon.  First thing in the morning I woke up, Selah and me looked in our stockings and they were stuffed.  The first thing I pulled out was a word search.  It was not long before I took out a book, sand art, and a paddle ball.  There were a few more little things at the end of the stocking with an orange at the tip.  Next, we went downstairs to have breakfast and were waiting for the parents to finish their breakfast so that we could open presents.

When we got in the living room, there were presents hidden all around the room.  I found mine in the back corner and it was in a bag that had monkeys on it, which I love.  It was a pretty big bag!  And when it was my turn to open my present, I was trying to cut the ribbon with scissors and said, "Forget this!  I'm just going to tear the bag open!"  And it was what I was really wanting for Christmas - a dolphin pillow pet.  I also got a bag that you design yourself from our friends from church and  a beautiful treasure box from my grandparents.  Mom and Dad got me a Barbie book;  I should mention that I get a Christmas book from Mom and Dad every year.  One of the funniest things that happened when we were opening presents was when Arianna opened one of her presents and said, "A book???".  And Mom said, "It's about 7 Little Postmen, how cute!"  Arianna just said, "Oh, great," and chucked it to the side.  I guess she's more interested in toys.

It was nice to be with my family up in Oregon, and I forgot to mention that we cut down our own tree from the woods.  My Christmas this year was so much like a Christmas I had a few years ago, but somehow it seemed even better because the whole family was there, including Dakota (who hadn't been born 2 years ago) and Lilah (our dog).  I had one of the best Christmases ever!
