My Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving week was a very fun week, not that any other week was not fun, but Thanksgiving week gave me some ideas I would like to share with you.  Wednesday and Thursday are probably the ones that you are going to want to hear about.  Monday and Tuesday were not so exciting; I can tell you the basics - tidying up the house and folding laundry.  On Wednesday, we got news that we were going to go to our Grandma and Grandpa's for a sleepover.  I'm going to sort of skip ahead a little because the middle part is just loading up the car.  Grandma took us first to a place called, A Bird Haven.  A Bird Haven is a certain store where you can buy bird toys, and I guess birds maybe, I'm not sure.  First, we saw a cockatoo that when you said "hello" to it, it said "hello" back.  We also saw the same kind of bird in a cage that was going cuckoo.  His yellow feathers were all poked out on his head like a horn, more like a crown.  Then, a guy asked one of the shop managers to take out a macaw.  The manager told Grandma that if you barked at the macaw, he would bark back.  So, Grandma barked at it and it barked back.  I thought that was cool; he actually sounded like Lilah.  Lilah is our dog.  Next, we went down to the medium-sized birds, the parakeets.  The parakeets were very pretty!  We also saw a bird that was its size, but it was grey and pink.  I thought she was the most beautiful!  Then, we went down to the  even littler birds.  I thought that the most beautiful little bird looked like it was a rainbow because he had a red head, a green tummy, a purple back, yellow feathers on its wings, and orange feet.

Next, we went to this place called "Reptiles".  The first thing we saw was a beautiful iguana that was yellow and had this pretty crown.  The next thing that I thought was amazing that we saw were these humungous pythons.  The biggest one was by itself on top case.  The bottom case had 2 pythons in it; a female and a male and they were just a tad bit smaller.  We went to the next glass case and saw baby turtles.  They were so cute!  I got confused when I saw a lady buying hamsters; I didn't know what they were for.  Then, we all went to the car.

Grandma said that she had another surprise for us.  She took us to Old Navy and got us some nice boots.  Mine were coffee creme, Selah's were black licorice, Arianna's were dark chocolate, and Livia's I can't describe as any food.  They were pink, pink sparkles, and pink flowers.  Next, we stopped at Grandmas's work and saw Mrs. Brush.  She said we were right in time to put ornaments on the Christmas tree.  Then, we had hot chocolate and jelly beans.

After that we went home and watched a nice movie and went to bed.  We had a nice sleepover.

When we got back home to our house, we ate a few snacks.  Then, we ate Thanksgiving dinner and it was SO GOOD!!!!!!!!  I enjoyed my Thanksgiving week!

Operation Christmas Child

Yesterday, we went to our church friends' house to pack boxes for kids that don't get anything for Christmas.  First, we ate lunch.  Then, the director, Christen, showed us how to fold boxes.  Miss Carla helped me to fold my own box.  Then I was able to make one all by myself.  When I got tired of folding boxes, I went outside and started to help organize the toys to go into the boxes.  We had a boys and girls tables there for different ages (2-4, 5-9, and 10-14).  Once all the toys were organized, we started putting the things in the boxes that were necessary for a certain age.  When we were all done, I felt like I had done something really good!
