My Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving week was a very fun week, not that any other week was not fun, but Thanksgiving week gave me some ideas I would like to share with you.  Wednesday and Thursday are probably the ones that you are going to want to hear about.  Monday and Tuesday were not so exciting; I can tell you the basics - tidying up the house and folding laundry.  On Wednesday, we got news that we were going to go to our Grandma and Grandpa's for a sleepover.  I'm going to sort of skip ahead a little because the middle part is just loading up the car.  Grandma took us first to a place called, A Bird Haven.  A Bird Haven is a certain store where you can buy bird toys, and I guess birds maybe, I'm not sure.  First, we saw a cockatoo that when you said "hello" to it, it said "hello" back.  We also saw the same kind of bird in a cage that was going cuckoo.  His yellow feathers were all poked out on his head like a horn, more like a crown.  Then, a guy asked one of the shop managers to take out a macaw.  The manager told Grandma that if you barked at the macaw, he would bark back.  So, Grandma barked at it and it barked back.  I thought that was cool; he actually sounded like Lilah.  Lilah is our dog.  Next, we went down to the medium-sized birds, the parakeets.  The parakeets were very pretty!  We also saw a bird that was its size, but it was grey and pink.  I thought she was the most beautiful!  Then, we went down to the  even littler birds.  I thought that the most beautiful little bird looked like it was a rainbow because he had a red head, a green tummy, a purple back, yellow feathers on its wings, and orange feet.

Next, we went to this place called "Reptiles".  The first thing we saw was a beautiful iguana that was yellow and had this pretty crown.  The next thing that I thought was amazing that we saw were these humungous pythons.  The biggest one was by itself on top case.  The bottom case had 2 pythons in it; a female and a male and they were just a tad bit smaller.  We went to the next glass case and saw baby turtles.  They were so cute!  I got confused when I saw a lady buying hamsters; I didn't know what they were for.  Then, we all went to the car.

Grandma said that she had another surprise for us.  She took us to Old Navy and got us some nice boots.  Mine were coffee creme, Selah's were black licorice, Arianna's were dark chocolate, and Livia's I can't describe as any food.  They were pink, pink sparkles, and pink flowers.  Next, we stopped at Grandmas's work and saw Mrs. Brush.  She said we were right in time to put ornaments on the Christmas tree.  Then, we had hot chocolate and jelly beans.

After that we went home and watched a nice movie and went to bed.  We had a nice sleepover.

When we got back home to our house, we ate a few snacks.  Then, we ate Thanksgiving dinner and it was SO GOOD!!!!!!!!  I enjoyed my Thanksgiving week!

Operation Christmas Child

Yesterday, we went to our church friends' house to pack boxes for kids that don't get anything for Christmas.  First, we ate lunch.  Then, the director, Christen, showed us how to fold boxes.  Miss Carla helped me to fold my own box.  Then I was able to make one all by myself.  When I got tired of folding boxes, I went outside and started to help organize the toys to go into the boxes.  We had a boys and girls tables there for different ages (2-4, 5-9, and 10-14).  Once all the toys were organized, we started putting the things in the boxes that were necessary for a certain age.  When we were all done, I felt like I had done something really good!

My Day at the Safari Park!

Three days ago I went to the Safari Park with my grand parents and my sisters.  The first thing we did was go to the bathroom.  That's usually the first thing that we do when we get to the Safari Park. Then, we went on the carousel.  After that, we went to the Discovery center and this one lady that worked there made me a crown out of straw and flowers.  We also made paintings.
These are pictures of me and Selah painting.

The third we thing did was go to the Great Rift Lift.  Then, we went to the bathrooms to change into our bathing suits so we could go in the Cool Zone.  Once we got soaked in the water, my sisters and I ran up the hill next to the Cool Zone and Grandpa said that was a good idea so that we could dry off.
Running down the hill.

After that, we went back to the bathrooms to change into our clothes and then we had to go to the Cheetah Run.  The Cheetah Run is an event where one of their well-trained cheetahs run down a 350 foot track at 70 miles per hour.  When we saw the cheetah run, it ran the track in 5.9 seconds.  Then, we went back to the carousel and rode it a few more times until Grandma got tired.  Then, we went home and had a peaceful time.

A Trip to the Neighvors

Today I went to my neighbors  house. When I got there Linda and her friend were painting some jumps for the horses.  Then she took me in her house to get an otterpop.  So after I ate my otterpop I got to play with her cat and it did scratch my but I did not care.  She also took my to ride Little Man wich is her horse it looks like he has wings. She taught me how to turn him and stop him.  He also stepped on my toe. Then we went in to the house and I got two more otterpops then I asked her if I could go on the swing.  So I did and I stayed on the swing for quite a while. Then I  played with the kitten one last time.  Then I went home!
This is a picture of my neighbor's property and the horses from my backyard.

A Trip to the Animal Park

This past weekend I went to the Wild Animal Park with my grandparents.  All my sisters went except for Dakota.  The park used to be called the Wild Animal Park, but now it is called the Safari Park; I think that the Wild Animal Park was perfect and I don't necessarily like the name "Safari Park".

First we went to go see the gorillas.  One of the workers there told us that there was a baby gorilla.  We walked over to the gorillas, but we couldn't see the baby very well so we decided to come back at feeding time.  So, on our way to the ducks we saw the meerkats.  When we got to the ducks, Grandma asked us if we wanted to feed them and we told her that we did.  One duck came and ate out of my hand (really it did)!  After we fed the ducks, we went to see the bird show.  There was this one owl that had a 5 foot long wingspan from tip to tip.  There was also a bird that had an 11 foot long wingspan.  When the bird show was over, we went to the gorillas again because it was feeding time and we got to see the mother gorilla holding the baby gorilla.  Next, we went to the cool zone.  The cool zone is a place with water to cool off in, in the park.  So, we played in the shower and unfortunately the spoons were not working.  All three of the bigger kids went under the bucket; Selah went under 2 times, and Arianna went under 3 times and so did I.  Then, we ate some snacks.  While we were going to the car, Grandpa told us to run across the grass like cheetahs with this cool music on.  I had a fun time at the Wild Animal Park.

Arianna's Fifth Birthday Party

On Arianna's birthday party  Mom cooked all kinds of noodles.  Grandma brought a 28 inch pizza as well. As soon as people started to get here, Mom let us have some pizza.  When Joe and Laura came, they brought tatoos for us and they helped us put them on.  I even got to put one on Joe and they were girly.  When Michael and Patrick got here, they told me that they had brought their bikes.  We went and rode our bikes in the yard.  After that, we did the pinata.  And by the time Patrick was up, almost two of the legs were off.  Michael broke the stick, so we had to use our baseball bat and Arianna got to use the baseball bat without the blindfold; she tore the pinata off its hinges.  Then, we went and got a lot of candy; everybody got a decent amount.  After that, we all played "Pin the Tail on the Donkey".  Everybody won and they all got a prize from the prize box.  I had a fantastic day at her party!

The Beach on a Hot Day

This is me when I was 1-years-old at the beach.

On Sunday the family and our friends went to the beach.  When we got to the beach we ate some Fritos while we waited for our friends to arrive. Later on when our friends were here the three older girls were digging in the sand and I saw something in Arianna's hole; I picked it up and I knew it was a clam.  The clam was humongous and Dad was going to grill it with some seaweed.  After that, our friend Justin cooked some chicken he brought for us.  Papi and Justin loved the clam!  It was as big as a big oyster.  Mommy taught Arianna and I how to swim in the ocean.  And after that, we went home.  I had a fantastic time at the beach!

Eating Ratlesnake

Last night was the best barbecue ever!  Papi (my Dad) cooked ratlesnake on the grill and it was delicious.  Everybody ate it except for Dakota.

Dad was with Dakota just walking around the property, over by the fence line and he was looking around.  Then, he looked down and there he saw a humongous rattlesnake.  He told everybody to get in the house, including Lilah (our dog) because if she didn't go inside she would have tried to kill the rattlesnake and the rattlesnake could have bit her.  Dad got out his .22 rifle and a straw hat.  He went out there and was going to shoot the rattlesnake.  The first few times he missed, but his next shot, he shot the snake right in the head.  Then, everybody came out to look at the humongous snake.  Dad said he would have a barbecue and cook the snake for dinner.  Not everybody thought it was going to be a good idea.  Once it was done, it didn't seem like it would taste good.  Dad told Arianna (my sister) to try some and she loved it.  Then, I got to try some and I loved it.  Then, the whole family tried it, except for Dakota (my baby sister) and Lilah; everybody loved it.  That was a delicious story!

Ketchup & Eggs

I put ketchup on my scrambled eggs because I learned it from my Dad.  My Dad's mother taught him and he taught me and my sisters to eat them like this.  Before I ever tasted my eggs like that I thought it would taste disgusting, and Dad told me to try it.  So, I did and I trusted him, but I didn't think it would taste good.  Then when I ate it, it tasted scrumptious!  So, that is why I eat ketchup on my scrambled eggs with toast.

I really need to learn how to type

I wish I could type but my Mom hasn't put me on typing practice yet.  My mom has been typing my blog for me because I haven't learned how to type yet.  And Mom, finally, just today, said that she would let me go on the typing program today.  Once I learn how to type, it will make me happy to know that I am blogging all by myself.

The Day We Got Chickens

Yesterday we got chickens; we got four hens.  All of the girls got to pick their own.  My chicken's name is Clucky.  Clucky is the second biggest hen that we have.  These hens are only 6 months old so they don't lay very big eggs.  What we feed them is compost and chicken feed.  The compost helps their eggs get bigger faster.  Hens only lay one egg per day; it takes 25 hours to provide an egg.  Today we got another chicken because we felt like four didn't fit in with five girls.  So, when Papi came back, the coop was complete.  The chickens are very special to me!  Today I finally got to hold a hen and it felt comforting because she was so soft and fluffy like a blanket.  I love my chickens!

My Birthday Present

I have been wanting my ears pierced for five years.  I've asked and asked if I can get my ears pierced. Mommy and Papi are thinking about it.  Mommy told me that on my 8th birthday, she would take me to get my ears pierced.  My birthday finally arrived.  The first box I opened had Crocs and a new movie that I wanted - the name of it was "Barbie in a Mermaid Tale".  The present I got from my parents was a new messenger bag that I could decorate.  The day after my birthday, Mommy said she would take me to get my ears pierced that day.  Dakota and Selah came with us.  When I got it done, it only hurt a little.  The pair of earrings I chose was my birth stone.  My birth stone is a ruby because I was born in July.  I had a very fun time at my birthday party and getting my ears pierced.  Why I wanted to get my ears pierced is because Ma had her ears pierced and I wanted to be like her!

My Date with Mrs.Marsha

Mrs. Marsha with my baby sister.
First the family and I, not including Dad, went to Starbucks and met Mrs. Marsha there so she could pick me up.  Mrs. Marsha is my best friend at church.  And, she took me to a place where I got my feet washed and the lady that did my nails used special tools on my nails to make them beautiful.  The water there was in a tub under my seat.  My seat also gave me a massage. It felt like there was a person behind my seat pounding their hands on my back, but it was actually just a machine in the chair.  The color I got on my toenails was bright yellow.  The lady also put flowers on my big toes with a gem.  Then, I got to pay the lady for what a beautiful job she did.  After that, Mrs. Marsha took me to get my fingernails done at her daughter's shop.  Her daughter's name was Crystal, and her friend did my fingernails - her name was Anna.  I picked out the color of bright orange and she asked me if I wanted hearts, polka dots, or zebra stripes.  And, I picked zebra stripes.  Then, she asked me if I would just want to leave them with the paint and the zebra stripes or if I wanted something over the zebra stripes.  So, I asked if she had any glitter and she did.  So I got to have zebra stripes, a beautiful bright orange, and glitter.  Then, Crystal took me and asked me if I would like my hair washed or if I would not like my hair to be washed.  At first I said "no", but she asked me one more time if I was sure and then I said "yes".  When she washed my  hair I was a little nervous, but once she started washing my hair it felt good.  And when she put the soap in my hair it smelled like peppermints.  The conditioner smelled like peppermints, too.  After she washed my hair, she blow-dried my hair and that took about 10 minutes.  Mrs. Marsha also took me there to get feathers in my hair, so Crystal put the feathers in after she blow-dried my hair.

Mrs. Marsha took me to the Elephant Bar for lunch and I got a corndog, coleslaw, and french fries.  The man that was serving us asked me what I would like to drink.  He told me what the options were and when he said "Shirley Temple", I said I would like a "Shirley Temple".  I could have gotten the sundae that was with the kid's meal, but I was too full and didn't finish all my lunch so I took my leftovers in a box to take home and I didn't get the sundae.  Then, me and Mrs. Marsha went shopping and bought a few things.  By that time, it was about time to go home so we met her husband and Burger King and me and her got an Icee.  So me and Mrs. Marsha had a fantastic adventure.

All About the Name of my Blog

The reason the name of my blog is "The Drama Penguin" is because I am a drama queen and my favorite animal is a penguin.  So every thing works out. What I imagine the drama penguin to look like is as if she were screaming and yelling over a fire-ant bite.  And, other times, she is saying she is about to "perish" over her ice cream dropping on the ground.  But, when she gets a group hug with all four sister, she not only gets a smile on her face, but is happy, joyful, and cheering loudly.

I wish to see happy smiles on your face and laughter from my story.

My First Day of Blogging

Today is my first day of blogging and I couldn't type because I am no good at it.  Mom says I have to write it down while she changed the baby's poop.   Now that Mom's done changing the poop I will be able to tell her what to type instead of writing it down which takes a lot of effort to do.

I am very excited that I get to start blogging and I feel that I am more grown-up.  And, I have been waiting to do this all summer long and I am so happy that my Mom finally set it up for me.  It was Dad's idea that I should have a blog because I have a lot to say and instead of saying it out loud to my parents, I can write it down.  I hope you like my story!
